It is difficult to describe the AYE conference, so I will let them do it for me. Various presenters and participants have written a series of articles which are posted at the AYE web site. Check it out. Also check the accompanying book published by Dorset House. Dorset House Publishing Co. Dorset House is the publisher of at least one book written by or translated by each of the Guild members. Other Dorset authors include Jerry Weinberg, Derek Hatley and Imtiaz Pirbhai, as well as the late Harlan Mills. You can download PDF versions of their Catalog of Books and The Dorset House Quarterly. Check out some of the later Denver International Airport reports. This site moves around a lot, so you may have to re-search it via a search engine to find the latest URL. Please visit the Guild Library Human Computer Interface Lab Ben Shneiderman's site for distribution of papers and screen shots of work done at the University of Maryland's I/F usability lab. Middle of Nowhere This site is hosted by Brad Cox, author of a book on the economics of the Information Highway ("Super Distribution," Addison-Wesley, 1996). Look here for a glimpse of Brad's fascinating thesis explained in his American Programmer article on the subject. Also follow up his pointer to the delicious essay "I Pencil." Beware though: reading even a little of his thinking is going to make you want to buy the book. Jerry Weinberg's site is like the man himself: thoughtful, surprising and interesting. Jerry has written many intriguing books, and plays host to the renowned Problem Solving Leadership Workshop. Check him out.   top of page
